Footballer Jamie Vardy has taken a compassionate swipe at wife Becky by voting for her to undertake gruesome creepie-crawlie tasks on I’m A Celeb.
Becky is one of the celebrities appearing in the jungle for the ITV show this year, and recently took on trial Worst Dates, where you eat live bugs and the private parts of animals.
And now it’s become clear that husband Jamie voted five times to ensure Becky was chosen to sit through the trial.
He joked in a recent tweet: ‘Bex’s face when she finds out that I voted for her 5 times on the app to do the eating trial…

Becky was accompanied by Made In Chelsea’s Toff for the trial, which saw them consume everything from sheep’s anus to bull penis.
As the duo left camp to travel to their multi-course dining extravaganza, Becky commented: ‘Bit sexist if they’re going to make us eat penis, why is a guy not doing it with us as well?’
Ironically, earlier Becky quipped: ‘If my husband has voted for me to do this Trial he’ll be in so much trouble!’
Over five courses the girls had to choke, gag and force awful food down their throats in exchange for some of the nine stars (which equal nine meals) that were available.
The pair ate meal worms, fish eyes, crickets, cockroaches and a spider.
The worst came with Becky’s sheep’s anus dish, which Toff remarked was ‘a nice bit of anus for lunch – delish’.
When Toff was given bull’s penis to eat, Becky joked: ‘You’ve had worse than that in your mouth because I definitely know I have.’
The stars managed to complete eight out of nine courses, getting eight stars for camp, meaning eight meals.

The only course the girls couldn’t complete and eat on time was the Critter En Croute course, where crickets, cockroaches and mealworms had to be inhaled in 45 seconds flat.
