If you enjoyed the recent Twin Peaks revival, then we’ve got some potentially good news for you – as David Lynch hasn’t ruled out the possibility of bringing the show back for a fourth series.

The revival came to an end just a couple of months ago, but speaking to The Hollywood Reporter the show’s co-creator hinted that he and Mark Frost might just be up for a return to Twin Peaks – especially given that it all appeared to end on a bit of a cliffhanger.

‘I don’t know,’ the director told The Hollywood Reporter when asked what it would take for him and Frost to give us all a series four. ‘It’s too early to say right now.’

But when pressed further he admitted: ‘I’ve learned never say never.’

He also addressed that inconclusive ending, remaining non-committal on whether it was intended as a cliffhanger or not.

‘I don’t really say things like that,’ he pointed out. ‘But you know, I always say there should be some room to dream.’

The show, which originally came to an end in 1991 after just two series, followed FBI Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) as he went through increasingly weird goings-on in the titular town while investigating the murder of local teenager Laura Palmer.

The third series, which aired on Sky Atlantic earlier this year, picked up 25 years after the events of the first series came to an end – and was weirder still.

We have to admit, we wouldn’t say no to more…
