Donald Trump ‘tried to kiss Fox journalist on the lips’ in Trump Tower lift

Donald Trump tried to kiss a former Fox presenter in a lift at Trump Tower, the woman has claimed.

Juliet Huddy described how the president ‘leaned in’ to kiss her on the lips in 2005 or 2006, around the time he married his wife Melania.

She said she wasn’t offended by the encounter, but: ‘I was kind of like, ‘Oh my God’.’

The radio host described how the pair had been out for lunch before Trump made his move during an interview on Mornin’!!! w/ Bill Schulz.

Ms Huddy said: ‘He said goodbye to me in an elevator while his security guy was there. Rather than kiss me on the cheek he leaned in to kiss me on the lips.

‘I wasn’t offended, I was kind of like, ‘Oh my God.”

She said the incident was a ‘weird moment’, adding that she was never alone with the president again, and he ‘never tried anything after that’.

Ms Huddy added: ‘At the time I was not offended by it. I thought he was a single man and leaned in for a kiss.

‘Now I have matured I think I would say, ‘Whoa, no,’ but at the time I was younger and I was a little shocked. I thought maybe he didn’t mean to do it, but I was kind of making excuses.’

Ms Huddy confirmed on Twitter that her account of what happened is true, adding that she is ‘offended by his comments on other matters’, but did not feel threatened or offended at the time.

The White House has denied the claims.

Ms Huddy left Fox channel WNYW after she made a sexual misconduct complaint against disgraced host Bill O’Reilly and received a settlement.
