Cristiano Ronaldo met with Real Madrid‘s new signing Vinicius Junior before the 3-0 defeat to Barcelona on Saturday.
Madrid sealed a €45 million (£40m) deal for the 17-year-old in May but he is set to remain at Flamengo on loan for another season.
The Brazilian travelled to Madrid this week to watch El Clasico at the Santiago Bernabeu, while he was also given a tour of the club’s training facilities.
Vinicius Junior met up with his future teammates before the match and posted a picture of himself alongside Ronaldo with the caption: ‘Best in the world!’

Unfortunately for Vinicius Junior, his first match at the Bernabeu ended badly as Madrid were convincingly beaten by Barcelona.
Luis Suarez opened the scoring before Lionel Messi doubled Barca’s advantage from the penalty spot.
Dani Carvajal gave away the penalty and was sent off for deliberately blocking a goal-bound effort with his hand.
Aleix Vidal sealed the win with a goal in injury time.
