Liverpool will need to spend around €50 million (£44m) to sign Alisson from Roma, according to reports.

Jurgen Klopp is in the market for a new goalkeeper as Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius have both failed to convince when given the opportunity.

Mignolet admits he is considering his future at Anfield after he was dropped for Liverpool’s 4-3 victory over Manchester City on Sunday.

The Belgian admits he is unhappy with Jurgen Klopp’s decision to bench him and has held talks with the Liverpool manager about his situation.

Karius, meanwhile, was signed from Mainz for £4.7m in 2016 but has struggled to hold down a regular role as Klopp’s first-choice goalkeeper.

And according to The Times, Klopp will address his goalkeeping issue in the summer with a new signing.

Alisson is under serious consideration after his impressive season at Roma but the report claims that the Serie A club value the Brazilian at €50m (£44m).

Liverpool may also have to pay an inflated fee for the 25-year-old goalkeeper after securing one of the biggest bargains last summer in Mohamed Salah.

Klopp’s side agreed a £37m deal with Roma for the Egypt international, who has scored 24 goals in 30 appearances so far this term.
