Miller Lite was the beer of choice for the people of Philadelphia Sunday night.
ESPN’s Darren Rovell tweeted, “Beer volume at bars yesterday was up 21.6% versus last year’s Super Bowl. In New England area, Guinness was most ordered, followed by Blue Moon & Bud Light. In Philly, it was 1. Miller Lite, 2. Coors Light, 3. Yuengling (Source: @BeerBoardTV).”

Some people might say that this is a bad look for Miller Lite to have been the most bought beer in a city where a riot happened, but I’m a big believer that no press is bad press in a situation like this. Fun fact, every sports riot I’ve ever participated in was fueled by Miller Lite. I guess it’s just the drink that champions prefer.
I’m also kind of surprised that it’s actually ahead of Bud Light. I would have figured Bud Light was way more popular in that region of the country. Obviously Miller Lite rules Wisconsin and large portions of the Midwest. I guess I didn’t realize it ran the Philadelphia region as well. I guess now we can all talk about how great Miller Lite is and that it was the most sold beer for the biggest sports riot we’ve seen in a very long time.
You have to hang your hat on something, and that’s not a bad one for Miller Lite.
