Former Miami Dolphins offensive tackle Jonathan Martin is about to be a free man again — kind of.

The former NFL player was arrested in February after he posted a threatening photo to his social media.

“When youre a bully victim & a coward, your options are suicide, or revenge,” Martin posted. He also tagged his former high school and several teammates and classmates.

When police were notified about the post, they found Martin with a loaded weapon, an axe and a knife. He was quickly detained and was taken to get a psychological evaluation. He was later charged with four counts of criminal threats and one count of possession of a loaded firearm.

But today, a judge ruled that Martin will be allowed to leave his mental treatment facility if he follows three conditions. First, he must wear a GPS tracking system at all times. Hell also have to wear an alcohol tracking system. Martin must also get mental treatment five days a week from 9 AM – 5 PM. And last, he must keep a safe distance from his former high school that he threatened, as well as his former Dolphins teammates.

For a guy who made such a grave threat, this punishment seems pretty reasonable.
