Former Love Island hopeful Rosie Williams has been admitted that she been given psychological support following her departure from the villa.

Rosie had a tough time in the villa during her final few days as her partner Adam Collard shafted her for new girl Zara McDermott.

I have access to a psychologist if I need it. Everyone at Love Island has said if I need anything for the rest of my life, theyre just a phone call away, she revealed.

The 26-year-old solicitor was subject to a barrage of emotional abuse from online trolls after she left the villa, and she has now told the Daily Star that she will never be afraid to phone for help.

The way Adam behaved hurt me. [He] said things to me that were really quite nasty. And there were times when I felt a bit isolated, she added.

Herr family also publicly shared messages they had received from trolls criticising Rosie for her looks.

Imagine the impact it could have coming out of the villa to read these vile things! Shes a real person with real feelings! they added.

Lets stand up to these trolls!! It is NOT ok to let it happen!!

The show has come under scrutiny in recent days after former islander Sophie Gradon died on Wednesday 20 June and pals Malin Andersson claimed the programme was to blame because they failed to support her with her new-found fame after she left the villa two years ago.

There just needs to be more done about it and a lot more aftercare provided by certain reality TV shows, said Malin.

She did talk to me a lot about personal situations quite close to when the show had finished. It was a shock for both of us when we came out of the villa, and I completely understood where she was coming from because I felt the same.

Sophie had spoken openly about suicide and the effect online abuse can take on a person just months before she died, age 32.

The former Love Island star told Radio Aire in an interview in March that coming out of Love Island, they felt unprepared for the scale of the abuse they received on social media.

The harsh reality is, it can end up with that victim taking their own life. And as youve seen in the media, that has happened. Can you imagine being responsible for that?, she said.
