The road to romance for Alfie Nightingale and Yasmine Maalik is not an easy one as a passionate kiss leads to hopes being raised before Alfie then becomes unsure over whether he truly has feelings for his potential new love interest.
Having been in hospital after his schizoaffective disorder pushed him over the edge, Alfie is finally allowed to come home and Ellie tries to pull out all of the stops to ensure that everything is comfortable and ready for his homecoming.
Naturally, Yasmine is delighted to see him and before long, he is opening up to her about everything he went through and what was going on in his head. Moved by his courage and with her feelings for him increasing, she impulsively kisses him and he responds positively.

With Alfie trying to keep his spirits up, Ellie then suggests that he takes Yasmine to the cosplay event going on and as the pair enjoy the event while in their costume, Yasmine leans in for another kiss.
But this time, Alfie pulls back and tells an angry Yasmine that he isnt sure he actually feels that way for her after all and she storms off, hurt. Alfie knows that he has some serious making up to do and later comes round with flowers and kisses her again before also revealing he has made an entry for her in the Urban Slang Dictionary.
And we all thought that romance was dead.
However, what Yasmine doesnt know is that Alfie, worrying that his pills are clouding his judgement and not allowing him to live his life, has decided to stop taking his medication – which could lead to the voices returning and a relapse.
Will Alfies risk lead to disaster?
