Tracy dropped a bombshell when Frank came to see her tonight in Emmerdale. But her dad quickly put his foot in it and had some gossip of his own to share.
Frank pulled into the village just in time to spot Maya, who was leaving Davids house after spending the night with him. Maya was unimpressed as David scrambled to get her out of the house before anyone saw her. David reminded her that the village was a gossipy place as he made Maya leave through the back door.
He wasnt wrong. Frank found Tracy in the cafe. She was talking to Dr Cavanagh and Frank promptly got the wrong end of the stick.
He inadvertently assumed that Maya and Davids romance was the news that Tracy had called to share and revealed what hed seen. Tracy looked stricken when she heard that Maya and David had slept together but promptly blurted out her secret – shes pregnant. Her tryst with David had had unintended consequences.
Tracy booked an abortion. She admitted to Frank that she wanted to be a mother but only if she could bring a child into a stable home. Tracy felt like she couldnt be tied to David anymore.

Meanwhile David, worried that his cancer had returned, accidentally booked a medical appointment with Dr Cavanagh. The appointment started professionally enough but David ended up admitting that hed slept with the doctors wife.
Cavanghs professional facade slipped and he berated David for only thinking of himself. Davids cancer hadnt returned but Cavanagh made an astonishing professional breach and told David Tracys secret. His patient bolted, in a desperate attempt to stop Tracy from terminating the pregnancy. David found Tracy and told her that the pregnancy was a miracle and a sign that the two are meant to be together. For just a second fans might have thought that the two could find happiness at last.
But David was too late. Tracy had terminated the pregnancy. After a devastated David walked away, Tracy told Frank that she didnt regret the decision. Davids reaction was exactly why she had to go through with the abortion.
Surely theres no way back for David and Tracy now? And will Dr Cavanagh be struck off after he betrayed Tracys confidence?
