Reddit has helped to resurface a prophecy made earlier in the story that shows how Daenerys Targaryen links to the Stark family.
While only a minor character in the TV series, Quaithe is a mysterious woman who plays a much larger role in George R. R. Martins books.
Only Ser Jorah encounters her during the HBO narrative, but in Martins novels she meets with Dany.
During the conversation, she makes an important prophecy to the Mother of Dragons.
It reads: To go north, you must journey south. To reach the west, you must go east. To go forward you must go back, and to touch the light you must pass beneath the shadow.
Pretty confusing stuff, huh?
Luckily, one clever Reddit user has decoded the riddle.

According to abogges1, the prophecy refers to the Stark family, not Daenerys.
To win the North, Sansa had to pass through tribulations in the South, they reveal.
To reach her home and family , Arya had to travel to the East.
While to help with the wars to come, Bran has to view the past.
Finally, to aid the side of good, Jon had to pass under Shadow (death).

While this may mean nothing, the theoriser admits, its interesting to note that Dany may not be as central to the final Game Of Thrones outcome as the TV series suggests.
The Stark family actually hold more weight with the supernatural forces at work in Westeros.
Could this mean the Starks are most likely to end up on the Iron Throne, thanks to fulfilling the prophecy?
Or is this just yet another way in which Dany connects to the Wardens of the North?
