If you love tears, twerking and a moral to every story, then you’ve come to the right place.

Get ready for Bad Habits, Holy Orders, a brand new show coming soon to Channel 5, where five party-mad girls enter a convent for four weeks, to see if they can change their hedonistic ways.

The girls don’t know where they’re going and you’ll cringe watching them pack teeny, tiny outfits and skyscraper heels for their month away. One even thinks she’s off to a yoga and spa retreat…bless.

The confused, booze-loving lasses are soon taken under the wings of a group of bemused nuns at The Convent of the Sacred Heart in Swaffham, Norfolk, led by Sister Thomas Moore and the rather stern (yet secretly soft) Sister Francis.

With sins ranging from sexual promiscuity to excess drinking to being selfie-obsessed, the sisters of Sacred Heart have a lot so work with, and the girls get a shock when they’re presented with a schedule of 7am chapel, followed by a day filled with prayer, reflection and cleaning, before a strict 10pm lights out.

Oh, and no phones, social media or alcohol.

But they can handle that for four weeks…right?

The bad girls

Sarah, nightclub hostess, 19 – gets stupidly drunk.

Paige, secretary, 23 – doesn’t know how many people she’s slept with.

Gabbi, lingerie model, 20 – addicted to her phone.

Rebecca, nightclub dancer, 19 – has a lot of one night stands.

Tyla, dancer, 22 – wouldn’t bat an eyelid at spending £800 on a dress.

The girls fall at the first hurdle when they’re caught trying to smuggle vodka into the convent, and Sister Francis is mighty unimpressed.

But will they be able to keep this good behaviour up? Will they hell!

Here’s why you should tune in.

The show is a major first

With unprecedented access, this is the first time the Daughters of Divine Charity have opened their doors. It took almost a year of negotiations with the Catholic Church’s National Office for Vocation, and could only take place after sign off from the headquarters of the Daughters of Divine Charity in Rome.

We guess that means Jesus approves, huh?

There’ll be tears…

Lingerie model and dancer Gabbi is first to break down when she realises her self worth comes from how many ‘likes’ she gets on Instagram, and she quickly decides she wants to fully immerse herself in the experience and make the most of it.

Geordie Rebecca is a little resistant to her new life to start with, but give her a few days and the sisters have already nudged her gently on the path to repairing her strained relationship with her father.

It gets emosh. Bring tissues or pretend you’ve been chopping onions.

…tantrums…

Our Rebecca is NOT happy (Picture: Channel 5)

One minute, the girls are coping with convent life and seemingly on the way to becoming holy women, the next Rebecca’s describing the experience as ‘hell’. (Not sure what our Lord Jesus Christ would say about that description, but okay.)

The group sure have their ups and downs, and none more so than Rebecca who’s not impressed with her temporary vow of chastity, having to swap vodka for holy water, and finding herself doing a spot of cleaning on a Monday morning when she’d usually be only just rolling in from a night out…

Don’t get us started when one of the girls breaks a nail.

Those sisters have the patience of saints, we swear.

…and twerking nuns?!

Yup, that’s right – and the nuns twerk better than the girls themselves. Oh, and they’ve been doing it for years. Don’t believe us? You’ll have to watch to see it with your own eyes.

You’ll laugh your head off

At times, the show is as brilliantly ridiculous as it sounds, and it all gets too much for the party-mad group.

Watching the girls tear up the tiny market town of Swaffham when the nuns grant them one night out is quite something. The looks on the local lads’ faces is nothing short of priceless. But will they make it back for their 9pm (you read that right) curfew?

We also can’t quite believe the scene where the girls volunteer with the homeless and elderly…

All your chastity questions will be answered

The girls don’t mess about with asking the sisters about sex, love and relationships.

While these boy-crazy lasses can’t imagine a life of abstinence, the nuns have taken vows of poverty, chastity and obedience, and don’t mind sharing all with the girls.

One of our fave scenes involves Tyla clutching a can of Red Bull, standing on a street, grilling the nuns on their (lack of) sex lives. Absolute gold.

It’ll totally change your views on nuns

It’s easy to forget that no-one was born a nun, and viewers get the unique experience of seeing them as their true selves in a relaxed environment, as well as hearing their back stories.

One of the older nuns admits she wore a mini skirt on her first day at convent, which didn’t impress the priest, while young Sister Michaela even reveals she too was a heavy drinker as a teen.

Oh, and expect to see a bunch of nuns playing basketball and an old nun driving a ride-on lawnmower – while praying.

You’ll witness some unlikely bonds

When we first saw the girls and the nuns, we didn’t think it was going to end well. At all. But unlikely bonds soon start to form.

A super cute moment is when the girls get their monthly allowance of £25/month (just like the nuns at Sacred Heart) and Rebecca decides to use some of hers to buy Sister Anna a present in a charity shop that she saw she liked. Later, we find out that Sister Anna and Rebecca have more in common that they thought.

Fast forward to when the girls spend a week away from Sacred Heart doing voluntary work in the community, and the nuns appear to…actually…miss them?! Trust us, it’s adorbs.

The girls won’t be the only ones getting life lessons

Apparently it’s frowned upon to apply makeup in chapel – who knew? (Picture: Channel 5)

We’re all guilty of spending too much time mindlessly scrolling on our phones, obsessing over how we look and not appreciating what we have.

The nuns live simply with only the bare necessities (honestly, our hearts almost exploded when one of them described ‘shoe polish’ as a life requirement) and have very few belongings. Yet they’re all content as can be.

Can we all learn to feel comfortable in our own skin without fancy clothes and makeup? Do we really need a new outfit every weekend? Is getting blind drunk really the key to nabbing that lad you fancy?

The sisters all have hearts of gold, and while they’re not trying to convert you to Christianity, they are trying to show us what really matters in life. And – spoiler alert – it’s not how many likes you get on your new profile pic.

But will our girls miraculously change for good or will they fall back into old habits once they head back to the modern world?

Strap in – it’s going to be an emotional ride.

Bad Habits, Holy Orders starts Channel 5 on Thursday October 19 at 10pm.
