BTS’s first appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show is set to air today in the States.

But we’re guessing the interview will win the K-pop superstars even more fans, if this adorable preview clip is anything to go by.

The Ellen Show released a clip from the group’s pre-recorded interview, and in it, group leader RM revealed to Ellen why his grasp on English is so good.

RM – who officially shortened his name from Rap Monster earlier this month – explained that he taught himself English by watching all ten series of Friends.

As Chandler Bing would say – could he be any cuter?

RM said: ‘I taught myself English. My English teacher was the sitcom Friends. Back in the days when I was like 15, 14, it was like a syndrome for Korean parents to make their kids watch Friends. I thought I was a victim at that time, but now I’m the lucky one.

‘Thanks to my mother, she bought all the seasons on DVDs, there’s ten of them.

‘Firstly I watched with the Korean subtitles, then the next time I watched with English subtitles, then I just removed it. I love Friends.’

Amazing.

And as a treat for RM, Ellen surprised him and the rest of the group with plenty of Friends merch from the NBC team.

As the rest of BTS speak Korean and aren’t as fluent as RM in English, a translator was present to help out.

And after Ellen asked BTS was it important for them to address personal issues like love and mental health in their songs, Suga said: ‘We have different languages, but we can all share the same message.’

On the show, BTS also performed Mic Drop (Remix) – their collaboration with Steve Aoki and Desiigner, the video for which dropped last week.
