Anticipation is gathering pace for Black Mirror season four, which is rumoured to drop on Netflix towards the end of the year.

Fans know that one episode will be called Crocodile, and ahead of any formal statement about the release date, the creative team have been dropping clues on social media.

The latest is a poster from the episode captioned: ‘Memories can be subjective.’

An image of a young lady with short blonde hair is pasted over a bleak backdrop of a rugged landscape at night, which features a lone cyclist in the distance.

Black Mirror is a TV show which says its job is to ‘explain what’s happening to you as best we can’.

The satirical series was created by cult icon Charlie Brooker, and focuses on the impact of new technologies on modern society.

A trailer for another episode named Arkangel also recently dropped online.

The show has a habit of eerily predicting tech news and trends ahead of time. It’s sort of the show’s premise.

Eerily, Black Mirror recently seemed to correctly predict a feature that was unveiled on the new iPhone X.

The show’s title refers to the front of a smart phone when it is turned off which creates the effect of a so-called ‘black mirror’.

It’s a symbol of the darkness and unpredictably that could feasibly spawn from the internet.

The show quickly gained a cult following when it launched in 2011.
