The Grand Tour kicked off its second season by showing the horrifying crash Richard Hammond suffered earlier this year, and it seems the aftermath will be on display in the second episode.
Early pictures show Richard walking out on crutches after breaking his leg in the crash, which becomes a hurdle in James May’s race against Jeremy Clarkson.
In the second episode titled The Falls Guys, Clarkson drives the all-new, 647 horsepower Ford GT from New York city to Niagara Falls, with James May making the same journey via public transport with Hammond in tow.
Can a racing car designed for the road beat the trundles of May and Hammond as they use buses, trains and planes? We’ll have to wait and see.
This week’s Celebrity Face Off sees cricketer Kevin Pietersen and baseball’s Brian Wilson going head-to-head, to find the world’s fastest man who makes a living from hitting, throwing and catching small balls.
Elsewhere Clarkson takes to the Eboladrome track in a Mercedes- AMG GT R, which looks alarmingly green.
More: Jeremy Clarkson
The Grand Tour addressed Hammond’s crash perfectly in last week’s episode, by using it as a banter vehicle even through some of the horrific scenes.
The second episode of The Grand Tour season two releases on Amazon Prime this Friday.
