Bruce: A Celebration TV special to air on BBC One in honour of Sir Bruce Forsyth

The late Sir Bruce Forsyth will be honoured with a very TV special event, set to air on BBC One in 2018.

On Wednesday 21st February 2018, the day before what would have been Sir Bruce’s 90th birthday, BBC Studios will record a one-off TV show at the London Palladium.

The hour-long celebration will have music (including some of his favourite songs), dance, entertainment and comedy.

Strictly Come Dancing‘s Dave Arch and his band and vocalists will be on stage to accompany the performances.

Bruce: A Celebration will also include onstage tributes from guests who will share their fond memories of Sir Bruce.

Charlotte Moore, Director of Content said: ‘I couldn’t think of a more fitting tribute to our dear friend Bruce than this celebration at the Palladium – a theatre he so loved.

‘Bruce was such a favourite with the BBC One audience who I know will savour this hour of entertainment, music and commemoration of a true showbiz legend.’

The TV and showbiz legend died in August 2017 aged 89.

His family confirmed that the veteran performer and TV presenter – who fronted Strictly Come Dancing from 2004-2014 – passed away after being unwell for some time.

Bruce: A Celebration will be broadcast on BBC One in 2018.
