They might have missed out on the Strictly Come Dancing final – but it hasn’t taken long for Mollie King and AJ Pritchard to be reunited.
And as rumours about their status continue to circulate, it’s obvious that they’re as close as ever – at least judging from this snap taken ahead of Saturday’s final by pro dancer Chloe Hewitt.
The pic, posted to Chloe’s Twitter account – and featuring several of the celebs who are returning for the final – sees Mollie and AJ sitting with the rest of the Strictly gang – and, folks, they’re holding hands.
Which is kind of adorable, really – but could be the biggest hint yet that the pair are more than just close pals – and they seemed pretty pleased to be reunited in this pic also, which Mollie posted to her Instagram account.
‘So good to be back dancing with this one today!’ she wrote under the snap.
The pair’s ‘are they or aren’t they?’ relationship has been the subject of speculation for some time now – with recent reports suggesting the pair had been conducting a ‘secret romance’ behind the Strictly scenes.
It’s even spawned awkward jokes on the show itself – not to mention spin-off series It Takes Two.
Although the bad news is that Saturday’s final may be the last time we get to see Mollie and AJ dance together for a while – as it’s been confirmed that the Saturdays star won’t be joining her pro partner and alleged beau on the forthcoming live tour.
While the four finalists – Debbie McGee, Alexandra Burke, Joe McFadden and Gemma Atkinson, as well as quarter-finalist Davood Ghadami – have confirmed they are joining Jonnie Peacock and Susan Calman on the tour, Mollie isn’t taking part.
‘I’m going to be on the tour, but Mollie isn’t unfortunately,’ he told OK! ‘I believe I’m just going to be doing some dancing with my professional partner Chloe.
‘I’m really excited to be travelling the country, and performing in these fantastic areas.’
The Strictly Come Dancing final kicks off on Saturday on BBC One at 6.30pm.
