Coronation Street has confirmed the worst fears of Carla Connor fans – the iconic character is suffering from kidney failure and her life could be in danger. But could Roy Cropper be the hero of the hour as he searches the internet for information on how to donate a kidney?
After Roy joined Carla at the Connor family dinner for New Year’s Eve, he clocked her holding what he thought was a mojito and she was forced to explain to him that it’s actually lemonade. The exchange left Carla upset and Roy hammered home the fact that she is suffering from a serious condition and needs to open up to her family about what she is going through.
Carla remains insistent that they keep this between themselves but Roy is determined to be there for her and persuaded her to move in with him instead of returning to Devon so that he can look after her.
