Imagine EastEnders with extra fake tan and added shoulder pads.

This could well be the state of affairs if Gemma Collins has anything to do with it, as she appears to have a hankering for a role in the hit soap, and her fans are so here for it.

Now that EastEnders seems to be making space for fresh meat, with it looking like Abi won’t pull through, there could be a gap in the cast for GC to waltz into the square.

God knows everyone could do with a bit of cheering up over there.

The Towie star uploaded a video to Instagram of her sauntering down a hallway, but her use of backing track has tongues wagging as she chose the infamous duff duffs from the BBC soap.

Gemma does like being dramatic AF, and with this she has managed to convince fans she’ll be rocking up on Albert Square.

But how likely is this really given that she recently joked she might sue the Beeb after she fell through a trap door at the Teen awards? Perhaps this was her agreement – she maybe wangled a starring role behind the bar of the Queen Vic as her compensation.

Gemma screaming ‘get outta my pub’ is what we all need going into 2018.

The Instagram video is actually an advert for a post-Christmas sale at Gemma’s boutique in Essex, rather than a hint of soap stardom, but we can all keep dreaming.

The 36-year-old did hint not long ago that she fancied a new career in acting, although she originally said she had her sights set on Hollywood. That black cab driver might need a new sat nav if it ends up in Walford.

She previously told OK she wants to be ‘on the big screen being an actress in Hollywood.’

And not planning on doing things by halves (of course not, she’s GC), she added ‘I’d be the new Uma Thurman.’

Right now though she’ll settle for Pat Butcher.
