Antony Cotton and Jason Gardiner wasted no time in trading insults as the first live show of the new series of Dancing On Ice got underway.
Antony and his professional partner Brandee Malto took to the ice first on Sunday night, performing a tropical-themed routine to Club Tropicana by Wham! The Coronation Street star was dressed as a waiter at a tropical bar and served drinks to the judges.
When their routine ended, Antony received feedback from the judges with Jason going first – and he didn’t hold back.
Jason said: ‘I like the fact that you set the scene, but then I didn’t understand the rest of the story. I didn’t quite get what you were, were you a waiter or a gigolo.’
‘I was a waiter, darling,’ Antony shot back. ‘If you’d had a drink you’d have understood it.’
Jason retorted: ‘If I’d had a drink, you might have looked better.’ ZING.
He wasn’t done there, telling his old friend: ‘There’s a lack of finish, even for somebody who has dance training, and there was a section where you sort of squatted and you looked like you’d put your back out. I genuinely though you were in pain.’
‘Oh you’re a nasty old get, you’ Antony replied.
This is only the beginning, we’re sure!
Dancing On Ice airs Sundays at 6pm on ITV.
