Sydney Devereaux is the next girl to be booted off Survival Of The Fittest, and claims she went onto the show with the aim to ‘stand up for women’s rights’.

After just three days in The Lodge, the 24-year-old was kicked out by the boys and was chosen to be replaced with a new girl.

Despite her short time on the show, the Casino Croupier managed to make a huge impression on the other contestants and has gone out with a bang, claiming she did it for the girls.

She said: ‘I went in there to pull the Girls together. All I stand for is promoting women. I have an amazing mum and two beautiful younger sisters and all I want is to make them proud. I want to stand up for women’s rights and equality.’

She may be the new girl, but Sydney managed to cause a stir when she asked Callum to move his bed away form her and Mariam.

The pair had an explosive fight that ended up with Callum complaining about the newbie in the Tree House.

He said: ‘Who does she think she is? She came in yesterday and she’s telling people to move beds and get away from her if we’re going to sleep in the same bed together.’

However, despite their differences Sydney claims that on reflection, she knows he actually had her back.

She said: ‘Funnily enough, Callum was very supportive. Obviously I went in being very loud but he was very supportive of me and kept checking on me. I liked Jenny and David too. I think David is very genuine and very humble.’

Rumours started to circulate in camp that Sydney and David were getting quite close, leading some to believe that this was the start of a budding romance, however she reveals this was not the case.

She said: ‘It was 100 per cent purely friendship between myself and David. I told him that and he knew it was just friendship between us.’

And as for who Syndey will be rooting for now she’s been eliminated, she claims she is hoping for Jenny to win, and we think a lot of viewers are too!

The Essex girl said: ‘I want Jenny to win. Where is the crown? Let’s give it to her now! She deserves to win, without a doubt.’

Survival Of The Fittest continues on ITV2 at 9pm.
