Paul Hollywood who? Mary Berry is moving on with a new younger man as Swedish chef Niklas Ekstedt joins the British treasure on the first episode of her new series Classic Mary Berry.
And boy do they get their flirt on quickly.
Niklas, 39, is 12 years younger than Mary’s former Bake Off host Paul but Mary isn’t afraid of a little innuendo, at one point telling Niklas: ‘It’s a long time since I’ve had a man on his knees in front of me.’
Mary, who’s never been afraid to shy away from an innuendo or three – soggy bottoms anyone? – later asks about a meatball recipe: ‘Will there be a sauce for them? I like a bit of sauce.’
And later the pair decide to tease each other with a gentle whip using tree branches which Niklas claims ‘are the branches we use in the sauna to whip each other’.
‘That sounds exciting,’ replies Mary.
‘How do you do it then? And you’re in the water together? Sounds quite good fun. I think I’m coming to Sweden.’
Niklas Ekstedt is famous for his open fire cuisine and opened his own restaurant at the age of 21; he has previously worked at Heston Blumenthal’s The Fat Duck near Windsor.
