TV presenter Declan Donnelly became very emotional recalling his friendship with the late Sir Bruce Forsyth during a special programme in tribute to the star.
Dec appeared with his TV partner Ant McPartlin in a VT, where they talked about their appearance with him at the National Television Awards in 2012.
The trio sang and performed a comedy dance routine at London’s O2 arena, and Dec revealed he had kept one special memory from that night with him until this day.
Dec explained: ‘We got a phonecall to say would we be interested in performing with Bruce and doing a song, and it took us about half a second to say yes. And we were so excited about doing it.’
Struggling to speak, he continued: ‘I’ve still got a photograph…I’ve got a photograph of the three of us on stage. It was lovely.’
They also touched on how Bruce made presenting look easy – something they joked that they haven’t been able to manage yet.
Dec said: ‘It isn’t easy, I can vouch for that.
Ant added: ‘He made it look very easy. We make it look very hard.’
Dec went on: ‘It takes two of us to do it!’
Sir Bruce died in August 2017 aged 89 after being unwell for some time.
