GC trying to work out her quenelles from her sous vides will be some absolute telly gold.

Gemma Collins has reportedly been offered a stint on Celebrity MasterChef as compensation from the BBC after her fall down a trap door at the Radio 1 Teen Awards.

Gem had reportedly been hoping to bag herself a stint on Strictly Come Dancing, but for the time being has been given the chance to take on the cookery show instead and my god we can’t wait to see her don that white apron.

The production company Remedy is behind both the awards show and the cookery show, and they are said to have negotiated the deal.

According to The Sun, a source said: ‘Initially she was determined that only Strictly Come Dancing would do, but she’s excited about the prospect of MasterChef and it has very much cooled the tension.

‘Everyone is looking forward to having her on. She’s a great character and popular with viewers – she’ll bring something very different to the series.’

Watch out Greg and John, you have no idea what you’re in for.

We know at least she can fry some eggs. Or not…

The deal has sprung from the fact that last October, Gemma took a nasty fall down an open trap door while walking on stage at the Teen Awards.

Shortly after she said she planned to sue the BBC, but dropped that idea when she decided a go at Strictly would do nicely to make her feel better.

She told OK!: ‘If I’d done it on purpose I would have jumped onto a nice cushioned trampoline! ‘I’m not going to sue the BBC. I’d like to do Strictly Come Dancing.’
