Saturday Night Live last night returned from a break with the first of three new episodes to close out the season. Hosted by Donald Glover and featuring Glover as musical guest Childish Gambino as well as a star-studded cold open with appearances by Ben Stiller, Martin Short, Jimmy Fallon, Scarlett Johansson, Alec Baldwin and Stormy Daniels, Saturday Night Live averaged a 4.1 Live+same day rating in the metered market households and a 1.8 among adults 18-49 in the markets with local people meters.

This was up slightly from the season lows posted by Saturday Night Lives last original before the break (3.9, 1.7 on April 14) to tie as the sketch comedy programs second lowest results of the season. SNL was on par with its year-ago delivery on the same night, (4.1, 1.9 on May 6, 2017).

Saturday Night Live ranked as the #1 entertainment show of the night on the Big 4 networks in metered-market households and in 18-49 in the local people meters, topping the primetime non-sports programs on those nets.
