Making her first late night TV appearance since torching the White House Correspondents Dinner, Michelle Wolf was congratulated by former boss Seth Meyers for the controversial performance.

“It went great, and every single person loved it,” Wolf deadpanned. “Across the board everyone loved it – even Sarah Huckabee Sanders called me, and she was like, I loved it so much! I got every joke.”

Meyers found that interesting, given that Sanders, who was filling in for boycotting President Donald Trump on the dais, seemed not to enjoy, or get, some of Wolfs material.

“Well, you know, you give the best information you have at the time,” Wolf explained, stealing material from Sanders. The White House press secretary used that line several times recently at one of her briefings when asked why her version of what Trump did not know and when, about porn star Stormy Daniels, differed so much from what Trumps new personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani had told Sean Hannity on FNC the previous night.

Meyers showed viewers a CSpan tweet announcing its YouTube video of Michelle Wolfs performance had, in just three days, become its most watched WHCD video ever, clocking 4.4 million viewers. Wolfs video deposed CSpans video of Seth Meyers 2011 performance at the annual roast, which had logged 4.3 million viewers over 7 years.

Heading to a party after speaking at the dinner, she told Meyers viewers, she was greeted by her writers, chanting “Lock Her Up!”
