Sandra Bullock has some things to say about Harvey Weinstein. In an interview with the Sunday Times, the Oceans 8 star shared her thoughts on the disgraced mogul, who has been accused of sexual misconduct by dozens of women. (Hes denied the allegations and, most recently, has pleaded not guilty to two rape charges and one charge of a criminal sexual act in the Manhattan Supreme Court.) Though Bullock never worked with Weinstein herself, she remembers hearing unsavory stories and being afraid of him, she said.

“I wasnt asked to be in that world,” said Bullock. “I only heard what Harvey wanted people to hear, and that made me so fucking angry. People would say, Well, you know how she got that role? She fucked Harvey. I would say, Shut the fuck up. You dont know that. Then, later, to find out that woman was brutally attacked . . . they didnt sleep with Harvey. Harvey wanted you to think that.”

When the New York Times and New Yorker stories about Weinstein came out in October, with dozens of women speaking on the record about the producers alleged abuses, Bullock remembers feeling “really, really scared” for the “brave people” sharing their stories.

“I was like, Oh my God, this is amazing, but fuck, fuck, fuck, what if it doesnt work?” she said, thinking to herself, “Please God, let it not swing the other way.”

“Were in such uncharted territory right now,” Bullock continued. “Ive seen a lot of fear and a lot of men of a certain generation not understanding.”

She noted, for example, that men on the set of her upcoming movie, Bird Box, have been trepidatious around her, scared to say anything lest they cross the line in Hollywoods post-reckoning era.

“I saw a tremendous amount of fear from men on set,” Bullock said. “In the end, I said I know youre scared, but I feel safe, so you can make some jokes now. But if you cross the line, I will fuck you up.”
