Chas Dingle and Paddy Kirk are already facing the agonising devastation of losing their unborn baby, which wont be able to survive outside of the womb following a devastating diagnosis of bilateral renal agenesis. But there could be fresh loss for them in Emmerdale as they could be about to split up.
The pair have been struggling to hold it together and while Chas is still holding out for a miracle that cant ever come to pass, Paddy is handling things differently and starts to look into the option of donating their babys organs.
When Chas discovers that he has been doing this without talking to her, she is left feeling angry and betrayed and confides in Cain. Cain is shocked to hear about what is happening with the pregnancy but he tries to see the situation from Paddys side.

It is while defending Paddy with as much tact as he can that Cain realises that Chas is still hanging onto her hope that there could be a miracle or a misdiagnosis and he is deeply concerned for her.

Not able to move past this, Chas declares that she is calling off the wedding which is due to happen that week. As she shares that she cant marry him, how will Paddy react? And will this be the end of their relationship as they are torn apart?
Or can they make it through this despite the cancellation of their wedding and remain together to support one another through the hellish months ahead?
