The Walking Dead has revealed a bunch of new cast announcements for season nine, with one including a familiar face.
While many fans were reeling from the latest trailer and Andrew Lincolns emotional speech at San Diego Comic-Con, there were a bunch of casting announcements which also confirmed a host of new characters.
Arguably the most important is Bafta and Golden Globe winner Samantha Morton, who will play the role of Whisperers leader Alpha.
For anyone familiar with the comics, Alpha is a sadistic foe who is willing to do anything to protect her group.
Also announced was The 100 actress Nadia Hilker, who will play Magna in season nine, described as a tough as nails survivor who has been living on the road.

Magna will be the leader of the group which includes previously announced new characters Connie, played by Lauren Ridloff, and Yumiko, played by Eleanor Matsuura.
Other newcomers include Angel Theory as Connies sister, Rhys Coiro and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D star Zach McGowan as former Saviours, along with John Finn as a Hilltop blacksmith.
Judging by the latest trailer, it certainly places an emphasis on some of the new blood arriving into the show – who are hoping to replace the hole left by Andrew Lincolns departure.
The Walking Dead is set to return on October 7 on AMC, and airs in the UK on Fox.
