If your answer to the question can you ever have too much Paul Rudd? is a firm no, then youre in luck.

The Ant-Man and the Wasp star is set to play two different versions of himself in a new Netflix comedy, its been announced.

Rudd will play a man who is unhappy with his life and wants to better himself in the new series, entitled Living With Yourself.

Eventually, the character chooses to undergo a radical new treatment which sees him replaced by a new and improved version – but there are side-effects and Rudd 2.0 might not be all hes cracked up to be.

The eight episode series will see the Marvel star take on the dual role in a fresh and inventive show that incoporates laughs as well as philosophical elements, THR reports.

Timothy Greenberg, one of the brains behind The Daily Show With Jon Stewart has created the concept and is set to serve as executive producer and showrunner.

Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris, who worked on Oscar-winning drama Little Miss Sunshine, are attached to direct.

US studio IFC was originally down to produce the project when it first surfaced in 2016, but due to budget constraints the production was shelved and now Netflix has come in to claim it.

Rudd is currently starring in Marvel sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp, which has grossed £337 million at the global box office so far.

Marvel recently confirmed the movie directly connects to the upcoming Avengers 4 film, due out in April 2019.

Speaking in a new featurette, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige said: Ant-Man and the Wasp connects directly to Avengers 4.

These characters are going to be very important going forward.
