Emmerdale spoilers: Matty Barton forced to tell a huge lie as he finds love?

Matty Barton is about to find romance in Emmerdale but things get complicated for a number of reasons as he struggles to tell Abby that he is transgender – and also remains oblivious to the increasing jealousy of his close friend Victoria, who thinks she has feelings for him.

While at a party held by Ross, Victoria is instantly put out when she spots a girl making eyes at Matty. And before long, Abby and Matty have struck up a bond and are laughing closely together.

Victoria is even more upset when she sees them leave together but Matty is unsure about how to speak to Abby about the fact that he was born a girl – as this is still a very new situation for him to be in.

As Abby is clearly taken with Matty, they share a kiss and things are going smoothly. But when she then suggests that they go back to his place, Matty is worried and unsure over what to do next?

And what about Victoria? Could she be set to throw a spanner in the works?
