7 Holby City spoilers: Day of reckoning for Sacha, temptation for Serena and more

With the entire hospital reeling following the death of Roxanna Macmillan, Sacha faces a massive hurdle when he has to work on a complex and very personal case. Dominic and Ric are concerned – is Sacha ready for the challenge? And how will he cope if things go wrong?

Elsewhere, its Serenas birthday, but under the circumstances she doesnt feel much like celebrating. With the arrival of new F1 Leah Faulkner, the day takes a turn for the better. And all Fletch wants is to spend some time with his father – but people keep getting in the way. Here are all the spoilers to look out for:

1. Sacha is due to operate on Tyler, who is the friend of Connor whose death led to Sacha contemplating suicide. Sacha insists that hes ready to do the procedure, but its clear that the case is an extremely personal and sensitive one for him. Its complicated life-or-death surgery, and Dominic is worried that its going to be too much for Sacha to cope with.

2. The hospital is in a state of shock following Roxannas death. Hanssen in particular is devastated and another member of staff is feeling guilty. But how is Professor Gaskell reacting?

3. Fletch is desperate to spend some time with his father, who is still recovering from his surgery after heroically stepping in to protect Mikey. Fletch arranges a surprise for Steven, but it doesnt stay secret for very long.

4. We meet Scary Sue from ITU, who is apparently feared throughout the hospital. But theres one person she appears to have taken quite a shine to. Is Sue really scary, or just misunderstood?

5. Theres a new F1 on AAU. Leah Faulkner is smart and confident, and seems to be just what AAU needs. Her first case isnt as straightforward as it at first seems, though, and Serena has to intervene. Its Serenas birthday and shes keeping it low-key because of Roxannas death, but she ends up celebrating after all – and the day ends very unexpectedly.

7. Tylers operation is long, gruelling and complicated, taking every ounce of concentration that Sacha, Ric and Dominic have. Just as things seem to be going well theres a problem and it looks like theyre losing. Can Sacha handle the pressure?
