X Factor viewers slam Robbie Williams groups as weak after Simon Cowell takes dig at singers choices

Robbie Williams may have slated Simon Cowells girl category earlier on in the show.

However, it appears he might need to focus on his own contestants, as X Factor viewers have slammed the groups and have called Robbies choices weak.

Last night, the Angels hitmaker was put to the test when he had to choose six groups he wished to take through to the judges houses round.

However, despite being thrilled by the groups he has chosen, fans of the show werent impressed and took to Twitter to express how rubbish they think Robbies team is.

One wrote: What even are these groups? Even the best ones are average. Robbie needs a backbone and the ability to #justsayno #XFactor (sic)

Another added: The girl group they got potential with good mentoring #Xfactor #SixChairChallenge to be honest I think Robbie got the weakest category (sic)

Someone else commented: Robbie Williams has been well stitched up, all the groups are shit #xfactor

A fourth said: Usually love the groups… Not feeling it this year… Agree with Simon.. Didnt do it for me either.

And it seems it wasnt just the viewers who were unimpressed by what they were seeing, as Simon also took the opportunity to take a dig at the 44-year-olds category.

After watching The Squirrels performance of the Tina Turner classic River Deep Mountain High, Simon basically told the pair to go home.

He quipped: I think there is a seat waiting for you, but in the taxi waiting to take you home.

Before adding: Its gonna be one of those days!

Just last week the music mogul expressed how he was worried Robbie would take off and leave the show part way through the series.

Talking to The Sun he revealed: I always had that worry which is, you know, after three hours he might just go, “Ive had enough”.

But I would say almost every day we would finish and then hed email me afterwards, “Loved today, best day of my life blah, blah, blah.”

He continued: Its almost like hes back in a group again, if that makes sense.
