Peaky Blinders series five filming kicked off in late September, with new set pictures showing the first look at newcomer Anya Taylor-Joy.

The 22-year-old actress was recently announced to be joining the cast, having previously starred in M Night Shyamalans Split and 2015 horror film The Witch.

Details surrounding her character in the show are sparse, but judging by recent snaps, she could have a connection to Finn Coles Michael Gray.

The pair were both spotted in quickly walking to a vintage car in Liverpool, which was given a 1920s America overcoat.

Other set pictures also emerged earlier this week showing Tommy Shelby attend a funeral – possibly indicating a major death could be on the cards.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, actor Paul Anderson, who plays Tommys brother Arthur, teased how the Shelbys are set to be more powerful and manipulative in series 5.

Arthurs not gonna be a politician, Paul said. Hes got political ties now, lets put it that way. But you wont see him at no rallies or in Parliament.

What it gives Arthur and his family is more power. Tommy is in a position of power, and he can only get stronger in that position.

So well all have more cover, well have more opportunity, and more protection. And by protection I mean by society and the police and so on.

Well be able to get away with things under the guise of, “were politicians, were respectable.” But well be able to manipulate things more. Arthur will be even more Arthur. So it will be a lot of fun.

Peaky Blinders is set to return in 2019 on BBC One.
