The Walking Dead boss hints Andrew Lincolns Rick Grimes will die because clue is in the title

The Walking Dead is the show that just keeps us guessing.

And now showrunner Angela Kang has dropped quite a telling clue about how Rick Grimes, played by Andrew Lincoln, will finally leave the show.

We all already know that Rick is about to have a grand exit this season – but no-one seems to want to tell anybody how exactly.

But now the new showrunner has said the clue has been staring us all in the face: This is a show with dead in the title. There are going to be losses.

Welp, is she suggesting that he dies? Or that he turns into a walker/zombie?

Possibly.

Speaking to BBC, she said: Not all of them are deaths, sometimes there are departures of different kinds, but this is really a show about how people survive.

We feel like Angela is playing with our emotions here, and we could be very correct as she continues to keep how he leaves the AMC show a mystery.

What I can tell you is, that its a very emotional story. We get to look back at some of the scenes that hes been dealing with ever since his story started on the show, she said.

We just see the incredible grit and determination he has. We also get to deal with some elements of mystery and surprise.

Andrews departure from The Walking Dead really has been lingering on for many, many months, but its now been confirmed that well have to face up to his and Ricks actual exit from the show in just under two weeks time.

The timing of Ricks imminent demise was surprisingly announced by the shows official Twitter feed last night (21 October), meaning that the gun-swinging sheriffs deputy will definitely bow out in What Comes After, the fifth episode of season nine.
