The Apprentice may have delivered expert one-liners and some slightly embarrassing attempts to flog a sauna, but the jovial antics have enraged a certain segment of the community.

The latest episode saw contestants tasked with buying and selling fitness equipment at a bodybuilding expo in Birminghams NEC arena, with teams also offering services like massages and blasts with fake tan.

Oddly, contestants on the show handed out massages instead of trained professionals, with one member of the team, Kurran Pooni, even only having one arm available after breaking the other.

While it caused a wave of online puns, some viewers from the massage therapist world were concerned and offended they were allowed to dish out treatment in a public place without qualifications.

@Lord_Sugar huge fan of #TheApprentice however slightly offended tonight. Having completed 4 years at college to be a qualified massage therapist & you let these guys massage people with no qualifications in a public place. Sorry but had to be said ??‍♀️

Metro.co.uk has reached out to The Apprentice for comment.

Fired contestant Alex also faced some brutal reactions after commenting he couldnt sell fake tan because hes a boy, which he admitted to Metro.co.uk he regretted upon reflection.

The Apprentice continues on BBC One Wednesdays at 9pm.
