Danny John-Jules is the favourite to be given his marching orders from Strictly Come Dancing this weekend after a row with his partner Amy Dowden.

Danny has since insisted that his conscience is clear after it emerged that he reduced Amy to tears during a heated rehearsal on Wednesday.

Bookies think the situation hasnt helped the actors Strictly chances, and hell miss out on a spot at Blackpool as a result.

His odds have dropped dramatically since the bust-up came out, and hes now the 5/1 favourite to leave having previously been as high as 11/1.

Behind him is BBC newsreader Kate Silverton at 7/4, followed by cricketer Graeme Swann and actor Charles Venn, both at 11/4.

Betways Alan Alger said: Danny John-Jules has been a consistent performer on Strictly this year but its hardly the ideal preparation to have had a bust-up with your dance partner, and hes being backed for the boot.

Weve seen plenty of support for the Red Dwarf actor in the next elimination market and hes now 5/1 from 11/1 to be the next to leave this years show.

While it was initially claimed that Danny had been given a final warning by show bosses, Metro.co.uk understands that this was not the case and the pair were happily back in training on Thursday.

Danny took to Twitter to respond to the reports, suggested that he was being targeted.

He wrote: My conscience has never been clearer. I take great pride being hunted down by Khaki Wearing, Doberman holding,Tobacco chewing, Cross eyed, Cousin producing, Banjo playing, Chair rocking, Night riding, Sheet wearing, Pointy hatted, illiterate, hacks whos truth is driven by hate.

Over on Instagram he shared a picture of King Kong, quipping that it was his new CV.

The drama comes after The Sun claimed a source told them: He gets very angry in the training room and he swears and shouts at her a lot.

They added: Things have been bubbling away for a while and it all came to a head on Wednesday. Amy is so patient and sweet. Its her dream being on the show. Quite frankly, everyone on Strictly wants Danny to go.
