Im A Celebritys Anne Hegerty quits hellish Bushtucker trial after coming face to face with a lizard

Im a Celebrity viewers couldnt wait to vote for Anne Hegerty to get her hands dirty in a Bushtucker trial.

Well, they got their wish when the Chase star entered the jungles Hellish Hospital this evening but, despite trying her very best, Anne uttered those dreaded words and quit the trial early.

She tried guys, she tried.

After the klaxon sounded, Anne, 60, made her way into the first room which was transformed into a ward hospital, where she was greeted by a skeleton with a large snake slithering over it on the bed.

Surprisingly, Anne enthused: Oh, I dont mind snakes, before confidently picking up the first star underneath.

After opening a wardrobe, Anne came across a group of spiders and, despite spotting the star, looked the crawlies up and down before stating: Im sorry, Im gonna bottle that one.

You win some, you lose some.

Onto the next room, Anne was faced with a medical supplies room where critters fell on top of her, prompting her to exclaim: Oh shit, thats disgusting.

Even with cockroaches falling on top of her, Anne was able to find another star amongst fish guts and offal.

There were more stars to be grabbed but Anne declared: Thats it, Ive had enough of this room, that will have to do.

Impressively, Anne was happy to navigate pigeons and more fish guts and offal in the operating room to find another star.

However, it was when she was faced with a dark tunnel with a lizard inside that she threw in the towel and said: No, no, no, Im A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!

Ah, so close Anne.

Nonetheless, Anne did pretty amazing and walked back to camp with seven out of 11 stars. Not bad at all!

Appearing to be pleased with her effort, Anne told Holly Willoughby and Declan Donnelly: Im glad I bottled it at a later stage than previously. I said if I got 7 Id feel like that was enough.

The previous trial I was so panicked and the critters were so revolting this time I was able to keep it together a bit more. Having seven stars will mean we get a decent meal tonight.

Well done Anne, you probably fared better than we would.
