7 Casualty spoilers: Iain gets it badly wrong, Duffy has a fall and more

Iains still not dealing well with the traumas hes recently gone through, and a more than usually hard shift drives him to desperation. He badly needs someone to talk to, but when Ruby tries to support him in her own way he mistakes her concern for something else.

Duffy is brought into the hospital after she has a fall on the stairs at home. While shes there she makes a shocking diagnosis – of herself. And Marty has his eye on Joshua from Obs and Gynae, which might involve a little white lie. Here are all the spoilers to watch out for.

1. Iain is still having nightmares about Sam dying. None of his coping strategies are helping him, his work is suffering – and Jans on the warpath! The one person he seems to be able to rely on – at last – is Ruby, who tries her best to be sympathetic. But after a gruelling day, Iain is looking for support and comfort and badly misjudges the situation.

2. Jan is getting mysterious phone calls. Is she in some kind of trouble?

3. Duffy has a fall at home and is brought into the department with a cut on her head, and her arm in a sling – much to her huge embarrassment. To keep her occupied, Charlie lends her one of the hospitals iPads, and Duffy gets to work with the diagnostic tool. Its always a mistake to rely on Dr Google, as she soon discovers.

4. When Iain and Ruby treat a girl whos had a fall in the street, a complicated and tragic story unfolds. Her desperate attempt to get people to listen to her leads to a dramatic situation, particularly for Iain.

5. When Marty does a favour for Robyn by taking Charlotte to the creche, he bumps into handsome single father Dr Joshua Bowers (Gareth David-Lloyd), whom weve previously seen working on Obs & Gynae. When Joshua makes assumptions about why Marty is at the creche, Marty decides to play along.

6. Louise isnt best pleased to see Ernest Maxwell (the man who conned her out of her last £20) back on the ward. Whats he up to?

7. Charlie is full of care and concern for Duffy, but will she finally confide in him about her health problems and fears?
