Another added: Hot damn that was a SOLID first ep of [Nightflyers]. Not sure I can keep up with the episode release pace live, but am def enjoying the experience and WILL keep watching.

Starring Sam Strike, Jodie Turner Smith, David Ajala and Eoin Macken, the show has only had a lukewarm reception from critics, despite the positive online response.

Variety said they found episode one “a striking opening to a show that doesnt quite earn it” and added it “It flails when it comes to doing anything new with a metaphor thats been worn thin, that of space travel as an escape from grief.”

Meanwhile, CNET, who have watched five of the episodes, also didnt seem too keen, and said: having watched the slow-burning first half of the season, its hard to shake the feeling the characters are stretched too thin for a 10 episode series.

Ouch.

So can we get it over here in the UK so we can decide ourselves?

Nightflyers airs Sundays on SyFy in the US with a UK date yet to be released.
