The Walking Deads Jeffrey Dean Morgan is returning to Supernatural as John Winchester for the shows 300th episode – explaining Negans fate in season nine.

The 52-year-old actor first appeared in the dark fantasy show back in its 2005 pilot, but hasnt been in it for a long 10 years.

However, Jeffrey revealed his hotly anticipated return on social media by sharing a picture of his hands placed on top of a script with the Supernatural logo printed on with his name written below.

Fans are overjoyed to see Jefferys back on Supernatural and flooded his Twitter feed, glad their decade-long wait to see him back is finally over.

One person wooed: So very excited about this! Welcome home John Winchester, with another wooing: I have no words Im just so happy.

Jeffreys been suuuuuuper busy in the time he was away from the series, with television roles in The Good Wife, Texas Rising, Magic City and Extant, as well as a number of film roles.
