Anonymous Content has teamed up with Red Arrow Studios International and Air Force One producer Charlie Lyons to adapt Joanne Lipmans book Thats What She Said: What Men Need to Know (and Women Need to Tell Them) about Working Together into a scripted TV series.

The global arm of the German commercial broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 has optioned the rights to the book from the former USA Today editor. It combines anecdotes from Lipmans own rise to the top of a male-dominated industry with data and research to offer real-world solutions for combating unconscious bias, sexual harassment, mansplaining, the gender wage gap, and other systemic problems people confront daily in professional environments.

The True Detective producer will co-produce with Red Arrow Studios International and Lyons with the latter exec producing alongside Paul Green, Paula Munoz Vega, Carlo Dusi and Bo Stehmeier. They are currently in discussions with writers to develop. Thats What She Said was published by HarperCollins earlier this year.

Carlo Dusi, EVP Commercial Strategy, Scripted, Red Arrow Studios International, said, “Joannes work is timely and insightful, offering a nuanced exploration of gender politics in the workplace and how we can collectively progress in the wake of #MeToo. Were excited to be working with Charlie and Anonymous Content to develop what promises to be a smart and engaging piece of television.”

Lyons added, “Joanne is a dazzling storyteller with the worldview and wisdom to tackle this provocative project. Im honored to work with her, Anonymous and Red Arrow on this exciting television event.”
