Coronation Street is set to wave goodbye to Angie Appleton as she and George head back to South Africa to continue their lives and put the actions of deceitful Jude behind them. But will Mary Taylor be able to cope with the tough farewell?
Angie was never the one really sold on moving to Manchester but managed to get her head around rebuilding her life so that Jude and George could be close to Mary. And despite a frosty start, Mary and Angie have managed to form a solid friendship.
However, not that Jude has exposed his true colours, there is little keeping Angie in Weatherfield and she has made the decision to head abroad again. She has Marys blessing, but its still not going to be an easy ask for her to say goodbye to her grandson.
Mary had travelled to Blackpool with Roy Cropper where they tracked Jude down and found that hed built a whole new web of lies with his new girlfriend Kelly, who thought he was a surgeon called Dr Ken Barlow!

When Jude took the money Mary gave him but then didnt come home with her, she was forced to concede the truth about her son and now she doesnt want Angie to put her own life on hold just to be near her.
As Mary sees Angie and George off, there are tearful scenes. Is this the last that Mary will see of them?
