The Academy Awards have yet to name a 2019 host following the Kevin Hart debacle, but the Golden Globes are picking up the slack. Our first look at respective Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Killing Eve stars Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh co-hosting Hollywoods booziest event promises all the celebrities, accolades, dogs, flying cars, and slap fights we could hope for.

NBC released the first official promos for the January 6 event, which sees Samberg and Oh taking up hosting duties from last years master of ceremonies, Seth Meyers, and the first duo since Amy Poehler and Tina Fey hosted together from 2013 to 2015. Though Poehler and Fey left big shoes to fill, Samberg and Oh look up to the task, a glimpse of which we saw when the duo made a splash presenting the Best TV Comedy Director category at the 2018 Emmy Awards in September. It was their apparent chemistry that led the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the organization that throws on the Globes, to select Samberg and Oh to host the ceremony this awards season.

The first promo above sees Samberg and Oh rattling off increasingly-nonsensical promises for their Golden Globes stint, while a longer spot below features the two attempting a best-friends handshake.

The Golden Globes event is always unpredictable (having bottles of Moet & Chandon champagne on every table tends to guarantee that). Also boding well for January 6 is the apparent fun Samberg and Oh are having in these new promos. Maybe new Oscar producers Donna Gigliotti and Glenn Weiss should just see if Samberg and Oh would moonlight for their event?
