The new year is set to be full of drama in Hollyoaks as the new trailer has revealed some sinister goings on in the village.
There are some huge storylines set for the start of 2019, with Breda McQueen and Louis Lovedays hostage situation topping the bill. Breda has hidden him away on her pig farm and hes laid up in bed with two broken legs unable to escape, will she kill him too? Busters trial finally takes place and is set to leave a path of upset as Ollie has to face his demons, but Imran might have a trick up his sleeve.

Breda tells Louis he must choose Leela and not Simone, and a curious Simone might find herself in trouble when she goes looking for her man. Could there be a double murder? Things are set to get even worse than that as Louis learns Breda is a murderer when he finds a notepad with the imprint of her confession letter. Frightened, he tries to escape, but just as he does Breda arrives back…
Busters trial is set to get into full swing, and Ollie for one looks petrified. Friends and family rally around him to convince him he can get through this as Brody tells him they can bring him down together. Imran confesses to Misbah and Sami that he might have evidence that Buster is guilty, but will it work and what will the jury decide?
Sienna will find herself in a tricky situation when she gets too close to Laurie – He definitely seems to be too handsy with her and theres something incredibly sinister in the way he tells her you owe me. Sienna is clearly afraid shes a victim of sexual harassment, but when Liberty warns her its a big accusation, she blames herself instead.
Its crunch time for Mandy and Darren – they must decide whether or not to go ahead with the dangerous operation on their baby. But when Mandy yells its their only option, it would seem her mind is made up and what Darren wants doesnt matter.
Jonnys behaviour seems to be getting more ominous by the day and Leela is clearly having a bad gut feeling about him. When she airs her concerns Ste tells her hes family now, to which she tells her brother so he says. Why is she suspicious of Jonny?
Mercedes is falling in with a bad crowd with Liam as the two get it on and she starts heading on a downward spiral. Will Sylver come to her rescue?
