Netflix have released a new trailer for The Punisher season two, confirming a release date and showing a new look at villain Jigsaw.
The first season of The Punisher closed with Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) smashing Billy Russos face into a jagged mirror, leaving the characters face scarred and earning his classic Marvel moniker Jigsaw.
The new villain looks set to play a major role in the second season, with a new trailer showing the characters scratched-up face before he dons a new terrifying mask.
Its like a bomb went off inside my mind, scattering all the pieces. Theres something on the edges, someone, a shadow waiting for me, Billy remarks.
This face has everything I ever did wrong written all over it.

The trailer also confirms the previously leaked release date of 18 January, which is a mere two weeks away.
Jigsaw isnt the only new villain in The Punishers second outing, with Christian Fundamentalist John Pilgrim (Josh Stewart) also looking to cause trouble for Frank Castle.
Speaking about his character, Stewart said: You can look at the stereotypes of what Christian fundamentalism is, and your imagination can run pretty wild.
I think there are some elements of that, maybe. Whats true is true, to him; whats right is right, to him; and what God says is what God says, to him.
The Punisher season two releases on Netflix 18 January 2019.
