The Walking Deads Andrew Lincoln has hinted at whats in store for his character Rick Grimes in the spin-off films.
The 45-year-old actor, who controversially left the main show in episode What Comes After, will reprise his role in three movies that look set to explore a wider world.
Speaking on Talking Dead following on from his last appearance in the show back in November, Andrew explained that he sees Rick in an offshoot of the main show as not the beginning of the end but the end of the beginning.
He continued: And I like the idea that we get to tell a bigger story, maybe with a sort of wider vista.
And Ive always been interested in whats going on out there, you know, whether or not there is contact with the wider world.

I want to know the meta of it all. And I suppose to be able to kind of touch upon that in a contained story for me is a very exciting proposition.

Andrew teased that its potentially the the start of a bigger story.
Although there isnt yet a release date for the films, Skybound have revealed that theyre planning to air them on AMC.
The Walking Dead returns to AMC on February 10 in the US and follows a day later on Fox UK.
