Hollyoaks spoilers: Buster Smith tells evil lies as Imran takes the stand in trial drama
Buster Smith will take the stand in tonights intense trial episode of Hollyoaks – and he spins a web of lies to try and convince the jury that his interest in Ollie Morgan was purely professional and appropriate.
Buster got a result he was hoping for when Brody Hudsons case against him was thrown out after Damon Kinsella was caught lying on the stand to try and bolster his friends case. Damon spent the night in a cell charged with perjury and is devastated by the consequences of his actions but Brody supports him and urges him not to feel guilty.
However, Brodys case being thrown out means Ollie is now feeling the pressure – it is now just down to his own evidence against Buster. Feeling like its up to him whether Buster walks free or goes down, Ollie is feeling anxious as the next day in court approaches.
Imran Maalik is next to take the stand and he is determined to contribute to the case and do Ollie justice but his family are worried that its too much for him to cope with. Sami is taking him through his preparations but Misbah is unsure whether she wants her son to put himself through this given his mental health.
As Sami and Misbah argue over it, Imrans emotions get to him and he begins to question his decision himself. Will Misbah allow him to testify against Buster and will he be strong enough to go through with it?
It is then Busters turn to face questioning and he comes up with a story to cover why he gave Ollie a secret phone and the messages they exchanged. He assures the jury that he simply takes pride in the relationships he forms as a coach but will they buy into his lies?
As the court case comes to a close for the jury to deliberate, has Buster managed to sway things in his favour? Brody and Ollie are hopeful that he will face punishment for his crimes and a stranger approaches Brody to assure him that it will all be okay.
Will a fresh testimony against Buster arrive in time and strengthen the case against him, leading to his downfall?
Hollyoaks continues on Wednesday 9th January at 7pm on E4.
