How dare the people accuse the Lady of Winterfell of loose lips. Queen Sophie Turner responded to reports this year that shed spoiled the ending to Game of Thrones Season 8 to anyone in her social circle whod listen. What actually happened isnt quite so sensational.

The brief non-troversy began in January, as the 23-year-old star told W magazine “Im so bad at keeping secrets. I dont think people tell me things anymore because they know that I cant keep them. Ive already told the ending of Game of Thrones to a few people.” The quote got picked up around the web, and social media predictably began to pile on. That said, the erstwhile Sansa Stark now clarifies to Entertainment Weekly that only fiancé Joe Jonas and an unnamed friend got the goods.

“I was on Twitter and saw these headlines like Twitter followers are being so mean to Sophie Turner after reports she told her friends the ending of Game of Thrones,” Turner explained. “The truth is Ive only told two people. Its not that many. To be honest, I dont read many of the mentions on Twitter because theres normally quite a bit of hate. Everything I say will always have some negative reactions so Im not surprised.”

The report claims that Jonas was Turners first confidante, after he joined her on set last spring. Amusingly, that contradicts Jonass own account last year. “I don't want to know any spoilers,” he told Variety in October 2018. “Sophie won't tell me and she knows if she told me I would be so heartbroken because I'm such a big fan of the show.” Oops.

Turner even joked that co-star Kit Harington didnt catch nearly as much flack for sharing Game of Thrones secrets with his own partner, Rose Leslie, who herself co-starred on the series. “The people love Kit Harington, he can do no wrong,” Turner pointed out. “Hes the peoples prince!”

Game of Thrones final season will begin Sunday, April 14.
