Ryanair are under fire after being accused of refusing to let a teenage cancer sufferer board her plane back home after a chemo session.
The girls family said they were told they had arrived minutes too late and would have to wait two days for the next available plane.
They reportedly ended up paying out of their own pocket to travel two hours by train so they could return home with another airline.
The incident is said to have happened at G. Marconi Airport in the Italian city of Bologna early on Monday morning after the unnamed teenager tried to fly back to Sardinia following her third session of chemotherapy for a malignant tumour with her uncle and mum.
Her uncle told island newspaper La Nuova Sardegna he had explained his nieces health situation.

However, he said staff replied: We have closed the baggage check-in and we cant do anything else.
He added: It was 6.20am and I spoke to the employee again to explain the situation.
He looked at the screen and after a few minutes that seemed to go on for ever, he told us we would have to stay in Bologna till Wednesday when the next flight back to Alghero in Sardinia would leave.
I begged them to show some humanity and let us board the flight. All we got was a no every time.
Revealing how they went through security to the departures lounge in a last-ditch attempt to board, he said: By now it was 6.35am and we were still appealing. We were stood at the boarding gate at 6.40am.
